Free WordPress Themes – Fact or fiction?

There are so many offers for free items on the Internet. At some point, we all become intrigued and sucked in to follow the links just to find another sales pitch with free not really meaning free. Or perhaps free for a very short time and if you don’t proactively cancel within 30 days then your credit card will be automatically billed $29.95 a month for perpetuity

The free item I want to discuss today are . Owning Internet Real Estate is on fire these days and not likely to slow down anytime soon. Problem is of course, that most of us didn’t go to school to learn how to be webmasters. So how do you enter this new and exciting world without a lot of html knowlege? You could pay a company to manage your site for you. That’s probably a good idea if you are going to have an e-commerce site with a lot of site traffic and make lots and lots of money. Wishful thinking but it could take some time to materialize. For the rest of us that will probably start slow we probably can’t afford to invest in programmers and lots of support.

So what is the answer? Well, WordPress of course. Easy to set up, easy to manage and getting better every day. WordPress sites are stylish and very appealing to readers. They also provide an intuitive back-office that even newbies (noobs in today’s parlance) can understand. Websites using WordPress “themes” can be created by a design firm – good option if you have lots of money. Or purchased as a template from several sources online. Templates can be found on Google, E-bay, etc.

Well I’m pleased to also let you in on a secret – there are several sites where WordPress themes can be found for free these days. Really – free! It amazed me too when I first learned of it, and I still don’t completely understand it, but I’m loving it nevertheless. These sites allow the reader to download and use a theme for personal or commercial use for free. You just need to give credit to the designer – which seems like a heck of a bargain to me!

These free themes can also be used as inspiration for aspiring designers. There are a lot of amazing designs out there these days. Like works of art, the designs are creative and unique. Something surely to suit anyone’s preference.
